Frontend Engineering, UX/UI Design, Information Architecture
The Task
The client wanted to create a website that modernized the OG doll maker websites of the 2000s. As a frontend engineer and information architect, my role was to figure out what the original sites were comprised of to (1.)create a site map for the new site to ensure all elements were accounted for and (2.) decide how to code elements that include modern design practices such as heurestics, and W3 standards, such as 508 compliance.
The Process
I began with site mapping an existing doll maker site created in the early 2000s, and created a new redesign that I arrived at by removing redundancies and broken links, and linking to external resources.
The Result
The client was satisfied with the result, and was found to have a loading speed 80% faster than the original site. The full site can viewed by clicking the image.
